Welcome to the Finnish Hamster Association’s website!

The Finnish Hamster Association was founded in 1989 and operates throughout Finland. The association maintains connections with hamster clubs, breeders, and show judges abroad, and is a member of the Finnish Rabbit and Rodent Breeders’ Federation. While our main language is Finnish, we are happy to communicate in English and Swedish as well.

Our goal is to promote knowledge about pet hamsters, support the breeding and showing of hamsters, and bring together breeders and hobbyists. We organize hamster shows, breeding courses, and other hamster-related events, and participate in pet trade fairs.

We welcome all hamster lovers from Finland and abroad. Members receive the Finnish-language hamster care booklet Hoitopussi and the club magazine Poskipussi four times a year, along with discounts on show entry fees and other events.
